I personally am really amazed with myself. I don't know where the strength came from, especially since I was the first one to leave that "shit-parade". Now, thankfully my older brother and my mother have joined me in FREEDOM. I am sooooo relieved!!! I physically feel like I can breath again, and I am learning so much more about myself. I know my own mother on a much more deeper level...I can't believe how open minded she has become! And my brother is now my best buddie!

Watching my kids glow with excitement over something so simple as taking a walk together...
The first rays of sun on a clear morning.....
My children's love notes tucked in my books......
Insects happily dancing around the late evening glow....
My cat lazily spralled in front of the fireplace....
The smell of fresh rain on pavement.....
The smell of baked bread.....
When my kids tell me they love me and that I'm the best Mom ever.....
Makeing someone smile.....
The smell of fresh laundry especially clean sheets.....
Flowers on the kitchen table.....
Candle light and soft music.....
Touching and being touched.....

Just lost our parents....
by 2escaped lifers inwell, the shunning begins.
we finally had "the" discussion with my parents, that we no longer consider ourselves jw's, and a little bit of why we felt that way.
of course, "dad the elder and po" and mom the pioneer dutifully informed us that not only will they be "loyal to the organization" and shun us completely, but that he would immediately let the other elders know, so that proper judicial action could be taken.. it was a heart wrenching discussion, with all of us, including my two young boys (9 and 10) all balling our eyes out.

I am so very sorry. It just tears me up to hear how that organization has torn families apart.....mine included. Don't ever stop showing them your love....maybe that may someday break the walls that are stacked high between you and your parents.

Anyone interested in some old WT books / publications?
by YellowLab ini was cleaning my basement the other day and came across a box of old wt books and publications i stowed away after i did the "fade".
i wasn't sure if i should toss them, use them for fireplace kindling, sell them on ebay, or see if anyone here would be interested in them.
i haven't gotten through the entire box yet, so i don't have a fully comprehensive list, but here are some to name a few:.

I threw mine away....too many bad memories. I figured the energy was bad, so I chucked them.

I did something ...really ...really ...bad
by seven006 inas many of you know there has been little friction on the board lately do to some recent deletions and exodus to another board.
in my deep sympathy and feeling of total unconcern about these events i took it upon myself to do something about it.
i planed my strategy using maps, schematics, long ropes, a 12 year old bottle of single malt scotch and about three minutes of planing.

Do You Consider The Ones You Left Behind In The Organization as Bro/Sis?
by AwakenedAndFree indo you consider the ones you left behind in the organization as brothers and sisters?.
the ones who don't shun me are my brothers and sisters!
i have a friend/sister who is still in the organization.

I wouldn't trust them....if push came to shove, they wouldn't be there for you. They are so brain-washed that if they were forced to make a choice between befriending you or be kicked out, more than likely they would be too afraid to stand by you. True friends would back you up unconditionally.

Your Ideal Partner...
by Gadget indr pawlowski from wroclaw university, poland, has found that the perfect height ratio to find your ideal partner.
aparently the man should be 1.09x taller than the woman.
this would give my ideal partner height at 5ft, which more than half of my girlfriends have been!!!.

Well...I'm 5'2", and I've always been attracted to men 5'9" or taller. I find I don't gravitate towards shorter men....
